Sirs: Oestrogen replacement therapy is being increasingly used in the menopause to treat or
prevent osteoporosis, to alleviate menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, genitourinary
symptoms, depression, and also with the intent of reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease
