A computational model to predict deposition of a wide variety of particulate pollutants in
several species of mammals is presented. The model incorporates breathing pattern and
detailed anatomical models of the respiratory tract based on extensive morphometric
measurements of individual airways. The predicted deposition from this general model is in

Abstract
